PRIVACY & ETHICAL STATEMENT
Firstly we assure you that we do not collect
data on individuals visiting this website, other than general
statistics which helps us improve the website. We respect and
expect privacy. Our website does not track visitors unless it is
attacked. We dislike spam and never pass on any email addresses to mailing
lists or any third party.
Our webmaster was an activist and journalist
during the Australia Card Referendum vote which was defeated in favour of
privacy, and the subsequent establishment of the Australian Privacy Commission.
We have been an advocate of ethics on the internet, including: respect of
privacy, human rights and non-vilification; and adherence to media laws
including copyright and defamation; and consumer protection laws.
The www.permacult.com.au website has been audited and accepted by leading Health
ethics organisations, by government best practice, and by organisations offering
Seals of Assurance. This website was examined by the ACCC (Australian
Consumer & Competition Commission) in January 2002, given the a-OK and our webmaster was
asked by the ACCC to give media interviews in relation to a campaign by the ACCC
to sweep the internet looking for unscrupulous website operators.
CFIDS Health Site: Confidentiality of data relating
to individual patients and visitors to this medical/health website, including
their identity, is totally respected and guarded by this website. The website owners (Australian Permaculture Information & Design Services) undertake to honour or exceed the legal requirements of medical/health

Purchasing from this website (including courses)
Purchases made through this website are made with third party, Paypal. We
do not see the credit card numbers or banking details. Information such as
name, email and delivery address are recorded for delivery purposes. If we have trouble processing an order, we’ll use the

Online: Our computers and server that the website is stored on, is secured by the latest
online security devices. All sensitive information such

encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry —

While on a secure page the lock icon on the bottom of
Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes
locked, as opposed to unlocked, or open, as it is when you are just 'surfing'.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do
everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users'
information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted
in our offices.
Offline: Our data is backed up onto computers and disks and is not stored our
computers connected to the internet to avoid the possibility of hacking. Only employees who need the information to
perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service
representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information.
Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are
kept in a secure environment.
